Jimi's unique sound can be attributed to the fact that he would flip his guitars upside down. Jimi was left-handed, but his father Al Hendrix, would force him to play right-handed. When his father wasn't around, young Jimi, born James Marshall, would flip the nut and strings upside down so he could play with his dominant hand.
